Why run the TIMBITS Marathon?

1. It's a great way to have fun!
2. Running and walking makes you physically fit.
3. You can run or walk anytime and anywhere.
4. You don't need special equipment!
5. And you get to be part of Canada's oldest Marathon!

How do you get started?

It's easy, the first thing you need to do is set your goal to complete the marathon. You register and begin running under the guidance of a parent, adult, coach, teacher, etc. six weeks prior to race day, May 30, 2010. You have six weeks to complete 41 KM. Your start date will be Monday, April 19. How do I complete 41 KM in six weeks? Follow the suggested TIMBITS Marathon Training Program or make up your own and keep track of the KM you've completed using the Kilo-Clocker.

You can run/walk a little or a lot, do what you are comfortable completing.

The most important thing is to pace yourself, you want to be able to run the final 1.2 KM on race day.
