2mro Run Club: Our Journey to Community and Accountability by Trenten Bingham

Running has always been more than just exercise for us—it’s a commitment to growth, consistency, and community. That’s why Sean Walker and I started the 2mro Run Club: to unite people, push our limits, and keep each other accountable.

Who We Are & How We Met

I’m Trenten, the founder of the 2mro app, and I’ve always had a passion for fitness and goal-setting. Sean is a dedicated runner who loves the camaraderie of the sport above all else. We met in high school and later moved to Australia together, where we started sharing our fitness and running journey on social media. Posting about our progress and challenges online helped us stay accountable and connect with others who had similar goals.

When we moved back to Calgary, we were inspired to build something similar—a real-life community rooted in support and accountability. That idea sparked the birth of the 2mro Run Club.

From Passion to Purpose

For me, the journey started with a love for fitness and a desire to help others stay on track. As the founder of the 2mro app, I wanted to create a tool that made setting and achieving goals easier. With his deep appreciation for the sport, Sean saw an opportunity to build something meaningful. Together, we turned the spirit of accountability and encouragement into a community—and the 2mro Run Club was born.

The 2mro App: A Social Accountability Tool

One of the biggest challenges in running—or any personal goal—is staying accountable. That’s where the 2mro app comes in. We designed it to make social accountability simple and effective. Users can set personal milestones, share their progress with friends, and receive encouragement along the way.

The app allows runners to track their streaks, build consistency, and stay motivated, making it easier to push through tough days. What sets 2mro apart is its social aspect—seeing others chase their goals and celebrating small wins together fosters a stronger, more connected community. Whether it’s running, fitness, or personal development, the 2mro app ensures you never have to go at it alone.

Our First Marathon: The 2024 Servus Calgary Marathon

When Sean and I signed up for the 2024 Servus Calgary Marathon, we had no structured training plan—just the drive to challenge ourselves. The race was a humbling but transformative experience.

While racing, we quickly realized how much we relied on each other’s support. When one of us struggled, the other stepped up, keeping the momentum going. The camaraderie we felt on race day showed us that accountability isn’t just about training plans—it’s about people showing up for each other.

Crossing that finish line, exhausted but proud, reinforced why we started the 2mro Run Club: so no one has to tackle big goals alone.

Building a Community of Runners

The 2mro Run Club isn’t just about running; it’s about showing up for yourself and those around you. Whether you’re training for the Servus Calgary Marathon, working toward a personal best, or just trying to stay consistent, our community os here to support you every step of the way.
