The Corporate Team Challenge lets you easily put together a company team for our races while simultaneously supporting your corporate wellness initiatives and helping one of our official charities achieve their goals.
The Corporate Team Challenge is a great way to get your employees active and encourage teamwork. Colleagues work together and cheer each other on every step of the way - from the first day of training, to lunch runs, interoffice challenges, and finally culminating with the moment they cross the finish line.

The Corporate Team Challenge is made even more purposeful because you will be helping one of our official charities achieve their goals, while you achieve yours.
Since it's inception in 2012, the Charity Challenge has helped raise more than $11 million for Canadian charities.

TOP FUNDRAISING TEAM
The Corporate Team that raises the most funds for their charity of choice will go home with the one-of-a-kind Corporate Team Challenge Fundraising Trophy (created by local artist Catherine Davis) and have their Corporate Team name engraved.
Getting Started
How It Works
STEP 1
Designate a team captain from your company. The team captain then registers your corporate team using your company’s name on the event registration website HERE. (*Please select the 'Create a Corporate Team' sub-event at the bottom of the list of events.)
STEP 2
When registering, the team captain will select your preferred fundraising organization to support from our list of official charities HERE. Let us know if your charity is not listed and we can reach out to get them registered as an official charity.
STEP 3
Our Corporate Team Challenge Manager will contact the team captain to provide a promo code for the team (employees) to use when registering; preferred pricing is extended to all companies that are covering 100% of the registration fees for their employees.
STEP 4
Once the team and promo code has been created, all participating employees (including team captain) must individually register for their distance and place themselves on the corporate team during registration. Each team member can register for a different distance.
STEP 5
Once everyone is registered, an invoice will be sent to the team captain for payment. We will honour Corporate Preferred Pricing for all corporations who are covering 100% of their employees registration fees. View our 2026 Pricing Chart HERE.
STEP 6
White label our training plans with your company logo to share internally and start your training together, plan some lunch runs, and reach out to your friends and family to help support the charity you selected! Watch for weekly Leaderboards on LinkedIn to see which companies are leading the way.
STEP 7
Run (or walk) at your own pace on race day and celebrate your collective achievement! Please note: participants can run or walk either Sat or Sun but Corporate Team Challenge awards will take place Saturday.
STEP 8
It wouldn’t be a full experience without some healthy competition! Top Corporate teams will be recognized in specific industry and size categories and also rewarded for:
- Top Fundraising
- Best Team Spirit
- Most Collective Distance
The Top Fundraising Team Award is based on funds collected up to May 22, 2026 at 5pm. The trophy will be presented to the winning Corporate Team at the Post-Race Festival on May 23, 2026.

Eligibility & Additional Info
- Any for-profit or non-profit corporation may participate, and all full and part‐time employees are eligible and encouraged to join.
- Create your team as soon as possible — remember the team must be created BEFORE any participants register for their event.
- If the company is paying for employee's registrations, employees will be able to register for free (or at a discount) using a unique promo code. An invoice will be sent to the team captain once everyone is registered. We can create a Corporate Preferred Pricing code aligned with the amount your company chooses to cover. Contact corporate@calgarymarathon.com for details.
- Most Collective Distance is defined as the total collective distance covered by your corporate team participants on race day. For example, 5 people running the half marathon (5 x 21.1 km) beats 10 people running the 5 km (10 x 5km)
- New in 2026! Weekly industry category leaderboards ie. airline, financial institution, tech etc.
- All of the top teams (Top Fundraising, Best Spirit, and Most Collective Distance) will receive a catered lunch at your office (valued up to $500).
- The Top Fundraising Award is based on funds collected up to May 22, 2026 at 5pm.
- The Top Fundraising team will be awarded the Calgary Marathon's Corporate Team Challenge trophy to proudly display in your office.
