Bag Check
Opens at 5:30 am
A secure bag check is available. You can only check the green reusable bag provided to you in your race kit. Please note this is the ONLY bag that will be accepted at bag check. Please adhere the colored sticker with your bib number to the bag. This is required to check and pick up the bag. Allow a minimum of 30 minutes to check your bag.
Road Closures
The Calgary Marathon is one of Canada’s premier running events and in order to put on event of this caliber, city resources and temporary road closures are a requirement.
Please check back soon for road closure information to ensure your community is aware of the road closures resulting from the race and that we inconvenience you as little as possible. Traffic and safety plans are in place to mitigate impact in the communities we are running through and please contact the Calgary Marathon Society directly at info@calgarymarathon.com if you have any questions or concerns.

Transit to the race start/finish
We encourage you to park for free on Spiller Road and walk west on 25th and into Stampede Park, it's about 800m so this walk can make for a great warm up! Paid parking ($15) is available on Stampede Park and it's best to give yourself plenty of time and access through the South side, off 25th ave SE. The South entrance is open all day and you will have no challenges exiting. The north side, near the Saddledome, is difficult to access after 6:30 am, as this is when road closures come into effect. Please note, wait times are variable throughout the day given the single entrance off 25th Ave. Carpooling, getting dropped off, parking just outside the grounds, and taking transit are great alternatives. The closest LRT station to The Grandstand is 25th Ave. SE station called Erlton Station.

Timing Tag Instructions
Your timing device for the 2023 Servus Calgary Marathon is the Chronotrack B-Tag. It is a single-use, disposable chip that is applied to the back of your race number. In order to receive an accurate time, please ensure your race number is:
- Clearly worn on the front of your torso
- Unaltered, and unmodified
- Pinned in all 4 corners
- Not covered by your jacket, water bottle, another shirt/sweater
- Visible as you cross the start and finish lines
Do not fold or bend your race number as it will damage the timing chip.
All participants will receive a race bib and timing chip at registration. Your bib must be pinned (unmodified and fully visible) to the front of your shirt and displayed throughout the entire race. Participants without a bib will be asked to leave the course and will not be timed or receive a finishing medal.

All Aid Stations will have water and Lemon Lime Endurance Nuun, as well as a supply of XACT Energy Fruit Bars. Four flavours of XACT bars will be available at all aid stations: Strawberry, Orange, Apricot and Blackcurrant (Blackcurrent contains caffeine).
