Calgary Marathon Road Closures

The Servus Calgary Marathon is one of Canada’s premier running events and in order to put on event of this caliber, city resources and temporary road closures are a requirement. Road closure information will be update here as it becomes available, to ensure our community is aware of the road closures resulting from the race. It is our intent to inconvenience you as little as possible and we have a robust traffic and safety plan in place to mitigate impact in the communities we are running through.

WHEN CLOSURES BEGIN

Road closures begin at 4:45 AM on Saturday and Sunday (subject to change). Allow ample time to make it to the start area of the race.

VIEW ROAD CLOSURES

Please review the information within the Interactive Map to ensure your community is aware of the road closures resulting from the race and that we inconvenience you as little as possible. In the Interactive Map, open the menu and toggle ON road closures for either Saturday or Sunday. Once the road closure filter is turned on, you can drag the sliding scale to select the specific time frame you are looking to learn about.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES WITH WAZE

We recommend using Waze for real-time driving directions based on live traffic updates and road closures. We've worked with the City to ensure our road closures on race day are included. Please check Waze (or download the app) on RACE MORNING for the best route on race day(s). Closures will not show on Waze until race morning.
