Whether you know this city or not, the Calgary Marathon route will make you blush with its beauty and smile because of the western hospitality by an army of volunteers. Whether it's your first marathon or your 60th, when you run Canada's Marathon on May 26, it will quick become a fan favourite. Just ask our fans! Voted Alberta's Best Road Race in 2019, 2018, 2017, 2014, 2013, 2012, 2010 and 2009.

Overview
The Servus Calgary Marathon course is certified by Athletics Alberta and Athletics Canada and can be used as a qualifier for the Boston Marathon. For more information on qualifying for Boston, check out the BAA's website here.
Calgary is also a qualifier for the Abbott World Marathon Majors Wanda Age Group World Rankings. Age groupers running Calgary can earn points towards the next round of World Championships. The AbbottWMM Wanda Age Group World Rankings comprise of over 350 qualifying races (including Calgary!) in which athletes in nine separate age groups can compete in marathons across the world to earn a global ranking For more information on the scoring system and world rankings, check out the WMM website or read our blog post about the new AbbottWMM ranking format that was introduced in 2023!
