Elite Athletes
High Performance Program
The Servus Calgary Marathon has a limited number of registrations available for high performance athletes who meet the qualifying standards. Please note, we are not able to send invitation letters to international participants. The program will be limited to elite bibs and corrals and will not include hospitality or home-stay program.
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Servus Calgary Marathon High Performance Program is designed to support local, regional, and national high-performance athletes who are looking to push their limits. The program also encourages overall competition. The Servus Calgary Marathon encourages athletes who meet our criteria, and those close to meeting the criteria (a minute or two outside of the standard), to submit an application form below.
Selected elite athletes will receive a comped race entry. Please note, if you registered for the event prior to being selected as an elite, your registration will not be refunded.

Qualifying Standards
Please note that the High Performance Program will be limited to elite bibs, aid stations and corrals, and will not include hospitality or home-stays. Meeting the qualifying standard does not guarantee acceptance and elite entries are limited. The Calgary Marathon does not provide invitations or sponsorship for athletes. It is the sole responsibility of the athlete to arrange their travel, regardless of where the athlete is travelling from.

Top Finisher
PRIZING
Prize money/prize packages are up for grabs for top athlete performances in Servus Calgary Marathon distances 5 km, 10 km, 21.1 km and 42.2 km. For each distance, prizes will be awarded to the top 3 male athletes and top 3 female athletes, along with the top male/female masters athlete for each race. Awards will be presented on the Enmax Stage in the Post-Race Finish Festival on each race day. Exact award times TBD.

Top finisher prizes are based on GUN time, not chip time as per IAAF, Athletics Canada and AB Athletics standards.

You must be present at the awards ceremony to be eligible for your prize money, which is mailed by cheque within 60 days of the race. Please ensure your address is CORRECT in your Race Roster profile so as not to delay receiving your cheque. The Calgary Marathon is not able to pay out cash on race weekend. No exceptions.
Please Note: Members of our Pace Team are ineligible for top finisher awards/prizing.
To ensure excellence of the championship races, top runners may be subject to drug testing. Athletes having positive drug test results will have their cases investigated and CMS reserves the right to withhold any and all prize money until any such investigation has been completed.
